The Sitemaps Protocol allows a webmaster to inform search engines about URLs on a website that are available for crawling. A Sitemap is an XML file that lists the URLs for a site. It allows webmasters to include additional information about each URL.
Sitemap Limits: Sitemap files have a limit of 50,000 URLs and 10 Mega Bytes per sitemap. Sitemaps can be compressed using gzip, reducing bandwidth consumption. Multiple sitemap files are supported, with a Sitemap Index file serving as an entry point for a total of 1000 sitemaps.
It’s a method by which we implement articles in the web site.
In Article Implementation we basically implement Meta tags and article body with links.
Article section gives a way to brief about the site details.
We implement articles in the site to make it user friendly. User gets more information about the service or the products.
Articles helps to make a website content rich and search engine friendly.
Also helps in search engine rank improvement.
Meta Tag Creation:
The important three META tags are:
TITLE: This Tag contains our document title. It is typically displayed in the title bar at the top of the browser window. Titles are also used to identify our page for search engine. The limitation of TITLE is decided by Google is 90 character.
Description: In this Tag we give a summary about our site pages in content part. The character limit for Description is 180-200 character per page.
KEYWORDS: Keywords are reserve words that are used in our site pages. The keywords are linked with our website pages. The character limit for Description is 100-200 character per page.
Press Release Implantation:
In press release implementation we do same job that we do in Article implementation activity.
Only the section will be change.
Press Release is basically used to give the important news about the latest activities and for the awareness of people about any important issue or information.
It helps to attract traffic on your website.
Implementation of 301 (Permanently Redirect): The requested source has been assigned a new permanent URL and any future references to this resource should use one of the returned URLs.
Implementation of 302 (Temporarily Redirect): The requested resource resides temporarily under a different URL. Since the redirection might be altered on occasion, the user should continue to use the request URL for future request.
Difference Between 301 & 302:
The HTTP Status code 301 & 302 both are use for redirection but using 301 we can move our URL to another URL permanently.
We can also redirect URLs using 302 but this applies for a short period of time. Also, Google can put penalty on your site or claim for duplicity and can cause drop in rankings.
Header Tag Implementation:
The tag in which we write our web site page heading is known as Header Tag.
It helps in defining page content topic and theme of the page content. Also helps to make a user friendly web page.
When we link our keyword that are important words in our website pages through our site pages then our keywords called Anchor text and this whole process is called Anchor Optimization.
It helps to improve rankings for the linked terms.
Implementation of Alt Tag:
Google does not read images that you given in your website. So we use alt tag in pages and gives information about the message to represent image.
It Helps in Image Search on Search Engines.
